About Stephen Jay – Registered Massage Therapist, #TeamGPP
Stephen is a Registered Massage Therapist working in Vancouver BC. He just completed his certification for membership in the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia after relocating from Nova Scotia last year.
In Nova Scotia, Stephen ran a successful practice and worked as a faculty member at Northumberland College, a school for Massage Therapy. He instructed Anatomy, Clinical Assessment, Treatment Skills, and Massage/Hydrotherapy Techniques classes.
Stephen has been involved in many community events and associations, having served 4 years as the Continuing Education Committee Chairperson for the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia.
These days his interests have turned to fitness and adventure training, and in June 2012, completed Tough Mudder Vancouver, and helped in raising money for Wounded Warriors Canada.
Stephen began working as a massage therapist in August of 2000, after graduating from ICT Northumberland College in Halifax. He ran a successful home based practice in the West End of Halifax for 8 years before moving to a new location within the Professional Clinic at Northumberland College.
Stephen has had the privilege of working with many wonderful clients over the years, and has developed a style of treatment he likes to say is therapeutically effective while remaining clinical and comfortable.
