May (early June) Newsletter

Well, so much happened in May, that we needed another week to get this newsletter ready.

Yes, we are now open

Thank you for your support and kind words these past difficult months. We have made Physio services available as part of a modified reopening. We have made many procedural changes to exceed our College’s and WorkSafe BCs safe opening recommendations. Specifics are available on our webpage.

In short:

  • Physios are available in clinic for 30 minute appointments (maintaining social distancing with other clients)

  • We are still attempting to keep Administrator’s from being physically present. There has been a mountain of emails, and we are doing our best to manage. Please note, the online booking portal is your best method to book an appointment. Phone messages are checked infrequently.

  • Virtual exercise sessions are still available with the Physios and the Physio Assistants (Rebecca and Ayla)

  • Pilates sessions on the Reformer are only available with the Physiotherapists at this time. We hope to have Rebecca and Ayla back within 6-8 weeks, as our College has requested minimal exercise in clinic (out of an abundance of precaution)

  • We hope our hard-working nurses and teachers discuss with their Union Representatives re: their Insurance provider attempting to discontinue Virtual Physio sessions after June 24th, despite WorkSafe BC and our College requesting an emphasis on Virtual sessions for exercise

  • We are hoping to add Saturdays back to the schedule within the next 2-6 weeks

Thank you for your patience as we re-open the Physio and Massage Clinics in a safe, functional progressions.
