August 2020 Newsletter

Gastown Physio & Pilates is very proud of our Ayla Fletcher! She has finally completed her last steps to transfer her Physical Therapy Degree from Australia to Canada. (We Canadian Physios really like the Aussie Physio training btw). And so Ayla is now seeing patients in addition to re-educating movement in Clinical Pilates.

Some of her skills:

  • Assessment of movement and its relationship with pain

  • Prescription of home exercises and Clinical Pilates

  • Manual Therapy for movement re-education

  • Smiling

Speaking of smiling, we also have Becs back in the Pilates room providing Clinical Pilates again. We’ve heard how much many of you have missed her, and she really appreciates your support.

Later this month we have a new addition to #TeamGPP - Ex-Ontario Physio named Ashleigh Low beginning full-time. Her profile is on the web-page and she is booking clients. Next months newsletter will have some words from her so you can get to know her a little. In the meantime, know that she has a background with Olympic weight-lifters, is a former free-ski athlete (there’s 2 of them at the clinic now!), and utilizes A.R.T. soft-tissue / neuro techniques.

Mark Borslein has also launched Elite Physio + Performance as a platform for his relationships with High Performance Athletes and the Coaches and Sport Scientists that help make it all their reality. The blog section is meant to keep you and his network aware of his education and experiences in that realm. Your best way to stay aware of developments is to follow on Instagram @EarningWins. He will be opening up Virtual Physio consults in the next few months once he knows return to sport plans for his athletes.

Also check out our Massage Therapy clinics at the top of this page. Our teams are safely expanding services, and always accepting new referrals.

Thank you again for your continued support!
